18 Months Old

Oh my, I have an 18 month old, and he's big. He has pretty much skipped the 18 month clothes and is well into the 24 month clothes. He's much more tall than round. I am guessing he's 26 pounds, but we have his official visit in a few weeks. With the new baby popping out, we are trying to teach Nathan to walk while holding our hands instead of carrying him so much. Things Nathan Loves 1. Breakfast. The kid loves breakfast. Thankfully, I am big on cooking breakfast. He eats at least 2 pancakes, an egg, and sometimes a clementine for breakfast everyday. I don't think he can handle a day without a scrabbled egg. The rest of his meals are hit or miss depending on the day, but breakfast is the big one. 2. Drums. Nathan still has a love of the drums. His friend Stephen game him a pair of REAL drum sticks this weekend. He is not drumming on everything. He spent 25 minutes the other day drumming on a plastic bowl in the kitchen, then the bowl cracked in half. ...

4 months old!!!

Here is all about Nathan this month.... Nathan had another growth spurt this month. I knew he was getting long, but we went to the doctor today and found out that he is 26.5 inches long. In four month old terms, he is in the 90th percentile for height. Forget the 3-6 month clothes, this guys is fully in 6-9 month clothes. Things Nathan Loves 1. Jumperoo. The jumperoo is a miracle contraption. It might look bad in my living room and take up a pretty big area, but this thing is worth every bit of floor space that it takes up. Nathan loves the jumperoo. It occupies him for hours, it's a four month olds equivalent to a new episode of Lost. It always leaves you wanting more, only the jumperoo is not confusing and actually keeps the same cast of characters. 2. Floor time. Floor time is no longer just floor time, it's now "time to kick" time. Nathan loves to pick his legs up and drop them to the floor. Repeat this action about a hundred times and you have fift...

3 months old!

Happy Three Month Birthday Nathan! Here is all about Nathan this month.... Forget the 0-3 month clothes, this guys is fully in 3-6 month clothes. Most of his sleepers are still not quite long enough. Things Nathan Loves 1. Floor time. Nathan loves to lay on the floor and kick and talk. He really likes to entertain and talk to him self. In fact, he sometimes gets alittle overstimulated when we have people over and he prefers to just lay by himself. 2. Grabbing things. Nathan is working out his hand/eye coordination. He can now grab the toys that dangle from his baby gym and he tries to pull them onto himself. He even grabbed the handle of his diaper bag and pulled it onto himself today. He also LOVES grabbing my hair, whenever I hold him on my shoulder its the first thing that he goes for. 3. Talking. Nathan mainly talks when he is laying down. It is the cutest and funniest thing to here him babble on and on. When he's awake in the car he also likes to talk away. I am ...
