Baby registry

Nathan and I went to target yesterday to register for baby #2. Daniel was out of town all week and the clock is ticking on my baby to do list. I wasn't going to register because we don't need much. But I realized that target gives you 20%(I think) off of whatever is left on your registry after baby is born. So it let's us get the few things we need (newborn diapers) for cheap.
I also was surprised that target gives you a reusable shopping baby when you register full of samples and coupons for baby products. And I love me a good coupon.
Nathan was really tired today because he stayed up to skype with Daniel the night before. This is what he looked like the whole time.




And there you have it. Even registering for baby #2 was all about Nathan.....

Ode to our awesome friend, Jenna. Jenna is our incredibly funny, caring and all around wonderful neighbor. Not only can she sing, play guitar, have great hair and tie a scarf in 25 different ways, she also can take awesome pictures. Like the pictures that she took of me while I was 9 months pregnant, anyone that can make a hugely pregnant woman look comfortable deserves a medal. Labor Induction Technique that does work....

Almost from the day that I found out that I was pregnant, I thought that Jesus told me (weird, I know) that baby Goulet was going to come on October 21st. October 21st is also the anniversary of Daniel and I getting engaged. The year that we got engaged October 21st was sweetest day, so Daniel thought that it was a perfect day to get engaged. Even though I have thought that whole time that I would have a baby on the 21st, I am not a patient woman. And I especially do not like surprises, so the suspense of going in the labor was killing me (see previous posts). On the 20 th , in my quest to go into labor I drank Castor oil. Gross I know, but I mixed it with juice and it wasn't bad. I went for me daily walk, and felt nothing. Within a couple of hours, the Castor oil had kicked in. Castor oil in found at drug stores, and is typically used as a laxative. I can now say from personal experience, that it is a good laxative if you would like to completely clean your bowels out...

Welcome Elijah!

Elijah Spence Goulet is here. The birth was very very different than the first time. But I will say it still hurt like crazy. :) I felt kind of nauseous and bad all day yesterday. I thought something was up. I went for a walk in the afternoon to try to encourage labor and started having Braxton hicks contractions. They didn't hurt at all so I knew they weren't the real thing. My mom made us dinner and I had her put Nathan to bed because I was just too tired to do anything. Around 9:00 I started having contractions exactly 5 minutes apart. They were uncomfortable and not painful so I just used my labor iPhone app and tracks them but didn't say anything to Daniel or my mom. I wasn't sure I was in labor and I didn't want to get us all ready for nothing. This is the part were I add in that I had many many sleepless nights with Nathan in false labor. So I wasn't wanting to go to the hospital until I was sure this was real. I grabbed Daniel at 10:00 and has him go on...
